Over the past few years I have traveled across Ghana, Rwanda, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zambia, and South Africa.  My eyes were opened to the extreme poverty, hunger, sickness, devastation and hopelessness of a nation.  At the same time I fell hopelessly in love with the endless beauty of a continent called Africa, her land, her oceans, her plant and wildlife, and most importantly the beauty of her people.

hroughout my journey into Africa I photographed the people that make up this beautiful nation.  The faces that persevere through their lens and see the heart of God.”  Anita Phelps  hardships.  The smiles that shine forth through their despair.  In hopes that the world would see that they each have a name, they each have their own story; and just like you and me, they are looking to find hope and purpose in their lives.May the faces and places touch your heart and inspire you to go into all the world…
